I could just leave this review as one word... "YUM" but that wouldn't make for particularly interesting reading. I really like this fragrance... a lot!
The first notes are decidedly fruity, you really do get ripe and warm pear. There is a smooth transition into the delicate floral mid-notes but all the time these are accompanied by the most wonderful deep woody and musky notes.
On the dry-down I keep getting the creaminess of vanilla but this is not a constituent, so I can only assume that the blend of woods, musk and incense are combining to give a smooth velvety dry-down.
It is not overly complex, but it is sweet, deep, sensual and musky.
My only criticism is that it is not long-lasting enough. I virtually took a bath in it the other day (because I love it) – and after a few hours it had almost disappeared on my skin. It may last longer on other people's skin-type but I regret that it doesn't on mine.
Presented in a clear glass vintage rectangular bottle, with a subtle pattern and signature motif and a rose gold coloured ring around the neck of the bottle it is both a classic and pretty bottle design.
This is a very good first fragrance for Halle Berry and if this is anything to go by, I can't wait for future releases.
Overall, a very agreeable fragrance that can be worn day or evening and is an exceptional choice for the Autumn fragrance wardrobe.
I am asking for this one for Christmas!
