Eternity - It's an enchanting name... timeless... forever... endless... everlasting. Everything that conjures up love & being swept away and lets face it - spring has that effect. After the long cold months - the sun starts to shine - the flowers start to blossom - the skies show their blue & there is that delicate floral scent in the air and it's just what Calvin Klein Eternity has captured. A fragrance that you know is floral but yet - very soft, light, energising, uplifting & delicate.
The packaging and the bottle are very clean & simple - a fresh start to the day. That really sums up this fragrance which is perfect for this time of the year I think. Anything heavy is going to be to bold & anything that's to florally is going to be to overpowering. At this time of the year - to welcome spring with its colourful blossoms - all you need is something soft and fresh - Eternity.
At first spray - it smells 'clean' and refreshing. It makes me think of a fresh spring morning - blue skies - slight breeze blowing & that warmth in the air that reminds us that summer is just round the corner. You definitely get the floral scents in the Top notes of this fragrance. The middle notes, I will admit, did lay some doubt - I wasn't sure, however...before you write this one off - wait...the best is yet to come. I found the middle notes a little to woody / spicy / peppery for my liking - especially since I wanted something light & clean but I resisted the urge to wash this one off which is just as well - because the more it settles & the base notes start to come through - the more it reminded me of everything that is spring - refreshing - colourful - delicate...the lightest, refreshingly clean & softest floral.
Since this is a new fragrance for me & I don't usually wear floral scents, I have found that at times, without realising, I catch a wiff of my perfume & look around thinking - who smells like that... what's she wearing... and then I realise - it's me - it's Eternity - it's fabulous! A sure sign that I like this fragrance.
