It all started with Armani Black Code for Men... such a very mysterious and sexy fragrance! So, when it was rumoured that the Ladies could expect a Code Pour Femme, the anticipation was high! Armani Black Code had set the goal posts very high & Code Pour Femme had a lot to live up to.
Since the packaging is the first selling point... lets start there! I didn't think the packaging was very imaginative or exciting but truthfully, all I was interested in, was what was IN the box. They did tie the design of the box & the bottle in very well though and thinking about it, the packaging design of Black Code (him) was also very plain and uncomplicated.
The bottle is gorgeous. I remember taking it out of the box for the first time & just taking it all in - I loved it. I found it to be captivating & seductive... slender curves with such a feminine design!
So, what does Armani Code smell like?
It's a fresh orange citrus fragrance rounded off with a sweet vanilla. It's not all that strong (in a heavy & overpowering kind of way) so I found I did tend to put quite a bit on to make sure it lasted but I think it is the kind of fragrance that, since it is not very obtrusive, you can put a little extra on.
It's a great summer fragrance as it's not too florally that it interferes with the heavy heat of the kind of summer days we have been having.
If you decide however to wear it for an evening out, it will work just as well as it does settle into a very seductive fragrance which I think is a good balance of the vanilla and jasmine.
All in all Armani Code Pour Femme is really one of my favourites. I love holding the bottle... I love everything about the fragrance itself. I think if I had to compare it to anything, Calvin Klein Euphoria - just not as sweet!
